FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW LONG WILL MY PHOTOS TAKE TO BE PROCESSED?
I usually turn your images around within 2 weeks, however at busy times this may be a little longer. If you need your images ready by a certain date, please just let me know so I can arrange my workflow accordingly.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY LITTLE ONES PLAY UP?
This happens probably more often than you think, please don’t worry. Try to stay calm with them. From experience, the more parents get wound up, the more the kids play up. I try to keep the sessions are relaxed as I can, and I find between us we can usually distract your little ones and win the over.
My advice will always be for you to keep smiling through it though, I can often still get some great natural shots even if you feel like their playing up for you.
Also, bribery is a wonderful thing!
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR FOR OUR SHOOT?
I get asked this a lot, I know some photographers offer outfit guides, but I am really keen for you to just feel comfortable I what ever your choose to wear, and feel like YOU!
I would suggest that neutral colours tend to work well, plain colour blocks or simple patterns are great, but maybe try to avoid bright harsh colours and slogan / character tops.
At the end of the day, they are your photos, and I just want everyone to feel comfortable, so you do you. If you’d like some feedback on any outfit options or inspiration just pop me a message and I’ll be happy to let you know what would work best for you.
DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO?
The great outdoors is my studio… and the great thing about that is it’s always changing!! It also means your shoot can be somewhere special to you.
I do have some lighting to help if we are shooting indoors, but I’m a big fan of natural light, so if I can use that i will!
WHERE CAN WE GO FOR OUR SHOOT?
I would suggest having a think about places that are special to you and your family. If you have a favourite beach, walk, park, spot.. then your photos will already feel special to you! I think its also important for little ones to feel comfortable in their surroundings, and not feel too overwhelmed by going somewhere new and meeting someone new (Me) all at the same time.
We can also shoot at your home too if you like.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
Well, we have a couple of options here, either we dress for the weather, get out and embrace the madness of it all, splash in the puddles, play in the rain, capture your wild wind styled hair… OR we find another date that works for you when the weathers a bit nicer.
I always make sure I leave space in my diary for rearranging shoots.. we live in the UK after all, the weather can be all over the place and I appreciate not everyone wants to be outside in the wind and rain!
It’s always your choice, theres no extra fee for rearranging your shoot due to bad weather.
HOW MUCH RETOUCHING DO YOU DO?
I tend to lightly adjust the colour or brightness of images individually. If you have a spot or something you’d like me to remove, or you’d like more specific skin retouching please let me know. More detailed editing will take longer for me to work through, so please bare this in mind
